pulp can move baby!

today is halloween. man i miss the days of dressing up and getting free candy. just because i'm adult, does that mean i no longer like free candy? i'm about to dress up in the old spiderman outfit tonight and get some free treats. after 20 years i should still be able to get into that thing.

spent the weekend at burgdorf's parents farm in mount vernon, indiana this weekend. i think the total count was 15 people. a good trip. we shot clay pigeons, rode the atv, ate noble roman's pizza, had a hayride and bonfire. good times. also learned that spending a weekend with a big group that mostly includes people that are in a bible study that you lead can be very tiring. it sucks when you let one person affect the fun that you're having, but i let it happen near the end of the trip. this person has been the most challenging person i have dealt with in all the studies i have led almost from when they started coming. it's been two years now and it's really starting to wear on my nerves and want to lead a group that this person attends. i guess i need to learn more patience and grace. although it didn't ruin the trip by any means. i suppose it gave me some good perspective about my future as it pertains to leading that study. ;) live, learn and grow....

she's a sentence finisher, it's like dating mad-libs.

***EDIT***

paul will also be at the dubliner tomorrow. there are you happy now? :)

***EDIT***

so my laptop has crapped out. just won't boot up at all. i haven't decided if i'm going to get it fixed or just share kim's laptop between the two of us. it's at least 3 years old, so maybe it has reached it's useful lifespan. we'll see.

went to kurt's wedding on saturday which meant i had to watch on of michigan's greatest comebacks ever on a little tiny personal tv, while trying to keep from getting caught. awesome game. suhweet.

we got to see my parents, brother, and his fiance this past weekend up at my parents house. we ate lunch and watched the bengals crush the titans. great times. we ate montgomery inn ribs to boot. they were all very happy about that.

jason and i are reclaiming the dubliner tomorrow after a few weeks off. and then kim and i are going to finally get to having her birthday dinner at germano's. what? it's only been a month since her birthday. :) it's not THAT long. should be an excellent meal...

"Good luck with all that!"

i bought the new david crowder cd the other day and it's awesome. understand that i listen to almost no "christian" music at all and this cd in phenomenal. i highly recommend going out and buying it. very, very good.

we had a cookout for bible study last night. it was good times. just hanging out and shooting the breeze is something i don't get to do often. it was truly relaxing. hanging out at brad and jen's tonight with a few folks. should be fun. more wedding type stuff to go to tomorrow. this one has a full catholic mass. yipee. i'm not crapping on other people's religion, but damn their weddings take FOREVER. plus these things just eat up entire saturdays. enough whining. go blue and go bengals...

"So are you still master of your domain?"

still coughing a little bit. all of you can just back off with your western voodoo medicine doctor talk. i'm not gonna pay some quack to tell me i have a cold. the red sox and michigan lost this weekend so that's a bummer. but kim and i got to have dinner with brian for his birthday. just the three of us. it was really cool. i wanted him to know how much of a friend he's been to me over the years, so it worked out pretty good. his birthday was just the excuse i needed.

we've been going to tons of weddings of late. not my favorite thing, but hey it's a free meal right.

sometimes you see things happening around you that make you realize that this Earth is an ugly place on occassion. i've been thinking about that for the past few days. i really hate it, but i think it helps me have an appreciation for how good heaven will be. pray for my friend jeff, he's going through a tough time right now and could use it. he's such a good dude and it pisses me off when bad things happen to good people.
