two thousand six post twenty seven
Michigan has won both of it's games since my last post to run their record to 7-0. It's their best start since 1997, which is coincidentally the last time they won the national championship. Could this be an indicator of how this season will end? Hope is still alive.
They pounded michigan state two Saturdays ago 31-13. Evidently the spartans have decided to mail another season in they came from ahead and lost to the Fighting Irish. It was almost as if they didn't care who won the game, with their fair catching punts on the 4 yard line and running kickoffs out of the endzone to the 9 yard line. Not that I'm upset at their buffoonery, it's always entertaining to watch their travelling circus. I wish Michigan had scored more points.
This past Saturday, Michigan escaped Happy Valley with a 17-10 win over Penn State. They had control of the game the entire way until JoePa sprung a screen pass in the 4th quarter and scored a long one on a then disinterested Michigan defense. The game was never in any real danger as Penn State was in their 3rd string quarterback after the 1st and 2nd string cats decided they could no longer take the pounding and took themselves out of the game.
It's looking more and more like Michigan will be heading to Columbus on November 18th for an epic showdown with the Buckeyes. All they need to do is beat Iowa, Northwestern, Indiana, and Ball State. The toughest test will be this Saturday when the Hawkeyes come to town. Kim and I will be making the trip to see the game with her brother and his girlfriend. GO BLUE!!!!
Oh and add Tampa Bay to the We Dey list. That was pathetic...
