so yesterday was kim and i's third wedding anniversary. for kim it has been three years of thinking and sometimes even saying aloud "holy crap, i can't believe i married this loser" and "look how my life had turned out, this isn't how i thought it would be". for me it has been three years of waking up in the morning and saying to myself "i haven't been served with papers, it's a good day". in all seriousness though, i am lucky to have her. seriously.

we thought we were going to have a little miniature person, made up of our dna, at our house by now, so we hadn't really planned to do anything to celebrate. at the last minute i had this brilliant idea that we could go to a place that would make and serve us food and beverages as well as provide us with a place to digest said items. luckily enough there's a macaroni grill right near our house that saved the day. great meal. and i even remembered to get flowers to give to her.

like i said above, we still don't have a baby yet. to celebrate our last days of doing whatever we want, we bought a new car. i wanted to get a corvette for the obvious reasons. safety for the baby being number one. in a corvette, with its big engine, i can easily out run any kidnappers that my think of trying to get her as well as the front bucket seats that will comfortably hold kim while she has that baby seat strapped to her lap. also, the corvette is sexy and it would make the other babies think she's cool and she'd be popular. but, selfishly kim decided we had to get a chevy equinox because its her dream car, so that's what we got. i cannot tell you how happy i am to be rid of that POS grand am we had. that car caused me more aggravation in the three years i knew it than i care to admit. RIP you bad, bad piece of machinery. we really like the new ride and in the end i guess it's a little more baby friendly than a corvette. barely.

i'll post more baby news after we have our appointment with the doc on friday....

get this, this past monday was kim and i's second anniversary. i know what you're thinking, how have i tricked her into two years of marriage save the fact that i even got her to marry me in the first place? the answer my friends is that there is no explanation for this. it defies all logic and reason. the only thing that even remotely begins to shed light on it is that movie beauty and the beast, although that over sized biped walking dog/beast/dude is way better looking, dresses nicer and is more charming than i am. here's to hoping that she doesn't come to her senses in the next year, or ever for that matter.

we had a really nice dinner at the melting pot(which i highly, highly recommend) followed by a hot passionate night of laying on the couch because we had both eaten entirely too much food. i even remembered to buy her some flowers and a card this time. good times....
